Vehicolor High Performance Clearcoat is a top-quality, two-component high-solids clearcoat designed to provide a deep, high-gloss finish with excellent coverage and durability. It offers superior chemical resistance and long-term protection, making it ideal for both complete resprays and spot repairs.
Can be applied over solvent-based basecoats and properly prepared paintwork in good condition.
Mixing Ratio
2 parts clearcoat, 1 part hardener, plus 10–20% thinner.
Pot Life
3 hours at 23°C after mixing with hardener.
Spray Gun Tips
Nozzle: 1.3 mm
Conventional: 3.0–3.5 bar (45–50 psi)
HVLP: 2 bar (26–30 psi)
Spray Method
Application viscosity: 16–18 seconds (DIN Cup 4 at 23°C)
Apply 2 to 3 coats, total film thickness of 40–60 μm
Flash-off time between coats: 5–10 minutes at 23°C
Drying Time
At 15°C, the surface is dust-free in 50 minutes and polishable in 12 hours.
At 23°C, it is dust-free in 30–40 minutes and polishable in 6–8 hours.
At 60°C, it is dust-free in 10 minutes and polishable in 30 minutes.
Shelf Life
2 years in unopened containers when stored in cool, dry conditions.
